Fall 2023 Kickoff
A great Fall 2023 kickoff event at Chalkley Elementary and Glen Lea Elementary schools. Our team had an awesome time giving the 5th graders their books to take home and sizing them for new shoes. These students crushed their reading goals and celebrated their successes in November.

Mandi Green
Teacher, Greenwood Elementary
The READtoRUN program not only encouraged our students to read, but to try new books and genres they hadn’t yet experienced. We have certainly noticed an increased level of confidence and sense of pride in our students’ reading skills since embarking on this journey with READtoRUN, and we are so grateful for their dedication to our school.
Audra Vanderland
Librarian, Glen Lea Elementary
We loved watching each 5th grade student explore and select from a treasure trove of books. READtoRUN transformed reading from a solitary activity to a community event, and we can’t wait to keep the momentum going!
Amy Coward
Librarian, Greenwood Elementary
READtoRUN is an amazing program and we are so grateful that Greenwood gets to be a part of it! I loved hearing students share what they were reading and what they loved about the books. My students were so excited about receiving shoes, but the entire process changed their perceptions about reading, about how it impacts people, and how it can be collaborative and an experience to be shared. Our students grew so much through this experience!
